TOPIC INTRODUCTION

Today I am going discuss Hypnosis for Weight Management and why it works so well!

Statistics from CDC:

  • The prevalence of obesity was 42.4% in 2017~2018.
  • From 1999–2018, the prevalence of obesity increased from 30.5% to 42.4%, and the prevalence of severe obesity increased from 4.7% to 9.2%.
  • Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer that are some of the leading causes of preventable, premature death.
  • The estimated annual medical cost of obesity in the United States was $147 billion in 2008 US dollars; the medical cost for people who have obesity was $1,429 higher than those of normal weight.
  • Americans average 1.4 diets per year

*Do you crave food at certain times of day or night not connected to mealtimes?

DIET FACTS:

*There are 100s of diet plans out there.  Some can be effective but they do not address the psychology/thinking changes required.

*Just the term “diet” indicates a start and an end.  Meaning, you diet and then you come “off” your diet.

 

HYPNOSIS FOR WEIGHT MANAGEMENT

It is effective as we are changing embedded, subconscious habits.

Suggestions given during hypnosis:

*You will only eat at a dinner table

*You will bring only a plate of food to the table (not the full servings/bowls, etc.)

*You will put your utensil down after each bite

*You will chew your food for 20 seconds

*You will recognize the difference between satisfied and full

*You will not eat in front of the TV or in any other room but the dining room

*You will not eat in front of the TV or in any other room but the dining room

*You will have a structured day/schedule (helps with eating late or early)
